Tong’s clod and stone separators are popularly used alongside a Tong fixed or Caretaker mobile vegetable sizer to effectively separate stone and clod from small potatoes, onions, beets, bulbs and more.
 
Manufactured in a choice of either 35″ wide for outputs up to 5 tons per hour, or 47″ wide for outputs up to 8 tons per hour, the stone and clod separator features an infeed conveyor where crop and stones enter the machine. A heavy-duty rotating clod roller often referred to as a bounce roller, is positioned at the infeed, where clod and stones drop from the roller. Crop such as potatoes bounce off the roller and onto flighted produce piler, which then feeds crop out of the machine. A reversible side-delivery trash conveyor receives the stones and clod and transfers all debris for waste.
 
TWO MODELS FOR OPTIMUM RESULTS The Tong clod and stone separator is built in two standard models, either a single roller machine or a twin roller machine. The twin roller model incorporates two rotating clod rollers, giving two chances to separate stone and clod from the crop for optimum results.
